The North Lamar International Merchants Association is holding a free event, open to all business owners in and around the North Lamar Boulevard and Braker Lane area. Come meet the Board of Directors, and find out more about the benefits of joining the merchant association. Those with at-home businesses are also welcome to attend and also become a member of NLIMA.
The "Meet and Greet" is set for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9 in the conference room at St. Vincent's Thrift Store at 901 W. Braker Lane. Refreshments will be served, including one free glass or wine or beer per person, with the free tickets being given out at the event.
If you're not sure whether to join NLIMA, this is the time to come and ask all of your questions of the Board members. In addition, learn about the upcoming "International Passport" program that will draw more customers to this part of the city -- and to your businesses! The program kicks off in mid-October. Member merchants will get a page in the passport that advertises each individual business. Customers visiting between the start of the program and end of December will have the merchants' pages stamped and then will enter a drawing to win a gift basket with items donated by member merchants.
Find out more at the Meet and Greet on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
